Fleet Challenge Ontario

Fleet Challenge Ontario (FCO) is a not-for-profit program of the Canadian Energy Efficiency Alliance that helps fleet operators reduce their fuel consumption, operating costs and tailpipe emissions. See FCO’s Municipal Green Fleet Management in Ontario – Best Practices Manual 2008.

E3 Fleet

E3 Fleet is a program implemented by the Fraser Basin Council (FBC), a non-profit organization with a mandate to bring people together to advance sustainability.

Fleet Tool

The Clean Air Partnership, with Bronson Consulting Group and NRCan’s ecoENERGY for Fleets Program, have developed a web-based tool that could be used by fleet managers and operators to estimate the energy consumption of their fleet and to identify opportunities to enhance the energy efficiency of their operations.

The Office of Energy Efficiency (OEE) is Canada's centre of excellence for energy conservation, efficiency and alternative fuels information. The OEE offers grants and incentives and other resources, including workshops for professionals, statistics and analysis, awards and hundreds of free publications.

Toolkit for Clean Fleet Strategy Development

This toolkit, developed by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and TNT in 2006, contains tools that help fleet managers evaluate the impacts of their fleets on the environment and human health, and develop practical strategies and scenarios for corrective and cost-effective action.

Environmental Defense Fund’s Innovation Exchange — Fleet Vehicles

The Innovation Exchange provides access to valuable content, practical tools and a dynamic online community to help companies improve their business as well as the environment. Tools on this site include a fleet emissions calculator and free driver training resources. The Environmental Defense Fund has also produced What Fleet Efficiency Can Do for Your Company and the Planet, a video for fleet managers showing how simple steps add up to big results.
