Not in My Back Yard: New Guide for Municipal Housing Developments
Affordability and Choice Today (ACT) has recently published Housing in My Backyard: a Municipal Guide for Responding to NIMBY. The guide offers strategies for municipal staff and officials to gain community acceptance of sound housing developments — public non-profit housing, residential intensification or other forms of affordable housing — and highlights best practices in use by municipalities across Canada. Users will find practical tools for engaging their communities on housing options and gaining support for housing developments.
