We are pleased to welcome Onno Kremers as the new director of FCM’s Green Municipal Fund. Prior to his appointment at FCM, Onno worked for various federal government departments including Service Canada, the Privy Council Office, the department of Western Economic Diversification and Parks Canada.
He has also worked in the private sector as co-owner and principal partner of the interdisciplinary planning firm Rieber–Kremers & Associates Ltd., and as an environmental planner with the Lombard North group in Winnipeg. Onno managed the Agassiz Center for Water Studies at the University of Manitoba and has served as chair of the Manitoba Environmental Council.
The outdoors is his passion — he is an avid cross-country skier in the winter, and loves bicycling and hiking the rest of the year. Onno lives in Ottawa with his wife, artist Christine Lodge.
